This is the amusing moment that a Chinese man unexpectedly encountered a wild giant panda while driving along a roadside, only for the famously rare animal to remain aloof and walk away without even turning its head. On March 23, 2026, in Ya’an, Sichuan, the video captured a driver slowing down after spotting a wild giant panda walking calmly along the roadside. The panda appeared round and unhurried, moving at a steady pace as the man watched in amazement from inside his car. Despite the rare and exciting encounter, the panda showed little interest in the human presence. It continued walking forward without looking back, maintaining a calm and indifferent demeanor throughout the clip. The video ended with the panda slowly disappearing from view as it continued along the roadside without acknowledging the man.

As the bus traveled along a mountain road, the panda appeared by the roadside and calmly walked along the forested slope. Passengers quickly noticed it and reacted with joy and disbelief. The panda briefly paused near the road before disappearing into the trees. The driver, Wang Wenbo, said he had been working at the scenic area for just over 20 days and was surprised to witness such a close sighting.
